ELDERS & MINISTERS COUNCIL SUPERINTENDENT DAVID TODD WHITTLEY, PASTORELDER LARRY HARVEY, ASST. PASTOR The Elders & Minister Council consists of Ordained Elders, Licensed and newly-called Ministers whose lives reflect a Godly image and concern about soul winning. CHURCH ADMINISTRATION MISSIONARY CAROL SIMMONS, CHURCH ADMINISTRATOR Church Administration consists of the office of the Church Administrator and Church Executive Secretary. The Church Administrator is the direct aide to the Pastor, meeting with him on a weekly basis, assisting in planning special worship celebrations, scheduling ministry staff meetings, aiding ministry leaders in setting goals and objectives, managing ministry resources, coordinating the Annual Leadership Retreat and developing and overseeing church calendar events. BUILDING for LIFE COMMITTEEDEACON DONALD BONDSThe Building for Life Committee works directly with the Pastor and is totally dedicated to identifying and coordinating efforts to address on-going church renovation and maintenance needs. CHRISTIAN EDUCATION MOTHER LUVONIA WHITTLEY, DIRECTORMISSIONARY PATRICIA OTT, ASSISTANT DIRECTOR This department coordinates the efforts of the various educational ministries of the church, including (but not limited to) Sunday School, YPWW, Bible Institute, Family Focus Services, KDM Conference Workshops and Teacher Training Symposiums. CHILDREN’S MINISTRY (Kingdom Kids) MISSIONARY BERNICE HOOVERDuring Children's Church, workers with training in early childhood education in every way, work diligently to make the Lord Jesus Christ attractive to this young group,via Bible-based lessons, arts and crafts, children activities and much more. COLLEGE CONNECTION MINISTRY BROTHER BILLY CROSS, DIRECTORThe College Connection Ministry works to coordinate special programs for College students, provide ministry resources (Bible lessons, tapes & CD’s) for students away in college, and gather materials to assist church high school students with college entry. YWCCSISTER MARGARET SMITH, YWCC PRESIDENTUnder the direction of the Women’s Ministry Director, the YWCC are training stations for every facet of women’s work. These groups work with church laywomen, both young and old, to promote Christian womanhood in the home, church and workplace. “DIGGING DEEP IN THE WORD” BIBLE INSTITUTE The “Digging Deep in the Word” Bible Institute is designed to train and develop God’s people through in-depth Bible study to become seasoned saints, equipped to help lead others to righteousness. DEPARTMENT OF EVANGELISM EVANGELIST LUCILLE STEWART, PRESIDENT The flame of Evangelism must never go out. This department works to coordinate the bi-monthly Intercessory Prayer Gatherings, Mid-day Prayer Time, and our Prayer Line. FAITH & FITNESS MINISTRYSISTER VERNITA MOORE, DIRECTORThe Faith and Fitness Ministry coordinates exercise classes for adults, youth and children and increases awareness of health and wellness via spiritual and natural literature and resources. HOSPITALITY MINISTRY SISTER DIANE JOHNSON, COORDINATOR The goal of the Hospitality Ministry is to foster a sense of community by providing a convenient environment for guests of the Pastor and First Lady, along with coordinating special meal preparations for church programs and services. MEDIA MINISTRYBOBBY LEWIS, COORDINATOR Under the direction of the Church Administrator, the Media Ministry will be responsible for the following: total management of CD/Tape units ensuring proper sound reinforcement is in place for all services managing the Ministry Resource Table and coordinating CD and tape orders. MEN'S MINISTRY DEACON DALE SMITH, DIRECTORThe Men’s Ministry consists of the church’s Elders and Ministers Council, Deacons and Men’s Alliance, Adjutants, Security and Parking Detail. It is responsible for identifying the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of men and periodically conducting activities such as seminars, workshops, retreats, etc. for men of all ages. MOTHERS BOARD MOTHER RUBY WOODS, CHURCH MOTHERThe Mothers Board is compriseD of saved, seasoned and experienced women who seek to support the pastor and his vision for the church, serve as examples, and provide wise counsel to the church’s younger women. Likewise, they participate in intercessory prayer for the Church, Pastor and his family. MINISTRY OF FINANCE ELDER ROBERT WHITTLEY, CFO The Ministry of Finance is a specialized and vital ministry in which workers in the Ministry of Finance exercise their spiritual gifts that benefit the general congregation at large. Working closely with the Pastor and the church’s Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Department, as it is called, is responsible for the counting and accounting of all monetary donations. MINISTRY OF HELPSThe Ministry of Helps is to include the services of Greeters, Nurses, Ushers, Adjutant Sisters and Hospitality Workers. This ministry is designed to portray the love that Christ has for all mankind, through giving special embrace and extended service to visitors and the congregation. MISSIONARY BOARDMISSIONARY BETTY HUGHES, PRESIDENTThe Missionary Board consists of Licensed and Aspiring Missionaries whose lives reflect a Godly image and concern about soul winning, visiting the sick and shut in, nursing homes and other outreach efforts. MUSIC MINISTRYMISSIONARY ADRIENNE McGOWAN, MINISTER OF MUSICThe Music Department consists of all choirs, groups, ensembles and musicians in the church, operating under the immediate supervision of the Minister of Music. Qualitative music is to be provided for all services, including (but not limited to) Sunday morning and evening, Wednesday and Friday nights, family worship, revivals, crusades, concerts, funerals, special services, etc. NEW MEMBERS MINISTRY ELDER ROBERT & SISTER HELEN PATTONELDER THOMAS & LAKESHA ALLEN, DIRECTORS The goal of the New Members Ministry is to welcome people who have decided to become a member of the church family. New members are enrolled in the New Members Class, designed as an adult Sunday School for “new believers” and as a “refresher course” in the basics of Christian living for those who join the church by way of Christian experience. NURSES UNITSISTER JOSEPHINE HARVEY, PRESIDENTThe principle function of the Nurses’ Unit is to provide restorative aid to persons undergoing certain temporary physical complications during church service; to assist alter workers with appropriate coverings; work with Adjutant Sisters to accommodate elect women; and to provide special services for the Pastor, his ministerial staff and special guests. OUTREACH MINISTRY ELDER LARRY HARVEY, DIRECTORMISSIONARY GEORGIA FORD, ASSISTANT DIRECTOROutreach is a strong component of the church, which connects the church with the community. Likewise, effort is made to creatively engage the congregation in corporate and one-on-one soul winning endeavors. The Outreach Director works directly with the Pastor and is responsible for developing an on-going effective Outreach Program. PASTORAL CAREMISSIONARY KATHY ALLISON, PRESIDENTThe Pastoral Care Unit seeks to assist the First Family in meeting their many needs as they are called upon to perform in service to the church. The unit's mission is to seek ways to revitalize and rejuvenate the Pastor and his family as they minister to the many needs of the Church and the community. SECURITY MINISTRY DEACON PAUL STEWART, DIRECTORThe Security Ministry works to provide adequate levels of safeguards for members, visitors, staff, facilities and parking lot areas. SUNDAY SCHOOL DEACON MELVIN FORD, SUPERINTENDENT MISSIONARY LAURA CARR, FIELD REPRESENTATIVEThe Sunday School department consists of the Sunday School Superintendent, Assistant Sunday School Superintendent, Staff and teachers and is charged with promoting spiritual growth and development, positive learning, teacher training and Bible-based incentives for students of all ages. USHERS BOARD SISTER LOTTIE BOYD, PRESIDENT The Usher Board’s chief function is to direct (in an orderly, undisruptive and friendly manner) members and guests in appropriate seating, giving and other like activities to maintain a worshipful church atmosphere; distribute church bulletins, envelopes and other special information and, to work collaboratively with other units that comprise the Ministry of Helps. VICTORY SENIORS MOTHER EMMA ALLISON, DIRCTORThis group is a very special group of saints aged 60 and over. Its responsibility is to organize and seek ways to develop ministerial services for victory seniors, which includes, but is not limited to seminars on various topics. WOMEN’S MINISRTY DR. CHANDRA WHITTLEY, DIRECTOR This department consists of its Director, Assistant Director, Mother’s Board, Missionary Board and YWCC/CWC. It also includes all other auxiliaries with ministries related to the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of women. It shall be responsible for identifying such needs and periodically conducting such activities as seminars, workshops, retreats, etc. for women of all ages. YOUTH MINISTRY MISSIONARY CHELSEA McGOWAN, DIRECTOR SISTER LORI BODDIE, ASSISTANT DIRECTORYouth Ministry is a vital and important ministry charged with coordinating and organizing activities, programs, services, trips and classes designed to minister to youth. Youth Ministries include Youth Church, Young Women of Excellence, COGIC Gentlemen, Youth Choir, Drill Team, Praise Dance, Pantomime and Scholastic Motivation.
